Poros turbin merupakan komponen yang mentransformasikan energi kinetik uap menjadi mekanis, dan mentransmisikan daya atau torsi ke poros generator. didesain untuk mampu menerima beban-beban saat beroperasi pada fluktuasi siklus tertentu. Material digunakan adalah stainless steel karena bekerja kondisi lingkungan korosif. Tujuan penelitian ini membuat pemodelan melakukan optimasi desain generator di Star Energy Geothermal Darajat. Dari hasil akan diperoleh aman dalam beban statik maupun dinamik (beban lelah / fatigue) berdasarkan ASME Code: Design of Transmission Shaft. Perangkat lunak memodelkan analisis Solidworks 17 ANSYS 16. Konsep terdiri dari 4 model awal (eksisting) dengan variasi penambahan fillet setiap step sebesar 50 mm pilihan material Stainless Steel jenis AISI 410, Carbon S45C, SNCM 439. Desain paling SNCM439 menambahkan telah memenuhi kriteria-kriteria, yaitu tegangan geser maksimum tidak melebihi batas ditentukan Code, rasio frekuensi pribadi kerja sudah mendekati √2 bawah kerja. Adapun nilai 60.3 MPa, 1,62 perpanjangan 6429,75 penghematan biaya Rp 215.678.142,30.
